Dr. Helen Cho, MD, CCFP, FCFP, NCMP

Medical Lead, Eating Disorders

Dr. Helen Cho received her medical degree and family medicine specialty from the University of Alberta. She obtained her Fellowship in Family Medicine in 2004 and is a Clinical Lecturer for the Department of Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Calgary. After 19 years of practicing comprehensive family medicine, she decided to pursue additional special interests in women's health and weight management. Dr. Cho has additional training in eating disorders and has worked as a physician with the Calgary Eating Disorders Program. She also has had additional training in managing breast concerns, breast cancer management, and is a NAMS certified menopause practitioner. She is a Breast Health Program Physician at the Women's Health Centre located at the Foothills Medical Centre. Dr. Cho has a special interest in nutrition and weight management, and has a strong passion for risk reduction and prevention of chronic health issues. She is an active member of the Canadian Obesity Network (CON). Dr. Cho is the Medical Lead for the Disordered Eating Program at Calgary Weight Management Centre.
